- Attachment Towing Ratings: The 2-inch ball is rated for 10,000 lbs GTW and 1,000 lbs TW; the 2-5/16-inch ball is rated for 20,000 lbs GTW and 2,000 lbs TW. Always use the lowest applicable rating.
- 20,000-lb Rated Hitch Base Assembly: The HD Air Receiver Hitch base assembly is rated for up to 20,000 lbs towing capacity and 2,000 lbs tongue weight. Your selected ball mount, hitch ball, or attachment may have a lower rating. Never exceed the lowest applicable rating of your towing setup, including the vehicle, receiver, hitch assembly, attachment, ball, and trailer.

Uses a rocker arm pivot design which produces a down & back motion, much different than other air hitches on the market. Our design eliminates the need for slides, parallel linkages, rollers, shock absorbers, or multiple airbags.

The built-in heavy-duty air spring absorbs road shock, bumps, jerks and tugs that a solid hitch transfers between your truck and trailer. Dual urethane bump cushions provide additional cushioning on rough roads. This helps make towing easier on you, your passengers, animals, cargo and equipment. Add or reduce air pressure to match your loaded trailer for the best ride and load control.
Designed for taller-than-stock or lifted pickups with at least 22 inches from the ground to the bottom of the receiver tube. Choose the version for a 2-inch or 2-1/2-inch receiver. How the Air Ride System Cushions Your Tow
The HD Max Super Drop hitch routes towing forces through its heavy-duty air spring and pivoting assembly, cushioning the connection between your tow vehicle and trailer. As tongue loads change over uneven pavement, the air spring absorbs movement while the dual urethane bump cushions provide additional cushioning on rough roads. Adjusting air pressure for your loaded trailer helps the system work properly as your towing load changes.
