Gooseneck Locks

Find the right gooseneck trailer lock for your coupler and stem. Shop coupler locks for Shocker Shift Lock® and Demco EZ Latch couplers, stem set-bolt locks and matched lock packages to help deter theft when your trailer is parked and unhooked. Start with your coupler style and ball size: Shift Lock options are available for 2-5/16" and 3" couplers; Demco options fit 2-5/16" EZ Latch couplers. Choose a kit with a lock included or a bracket for a compatible lock you already own. See the buying guide below the products for lock comparisons and fitment tips.

Choose the right gooseneck trailer lock

A coupler lock and a stem set-bolt lock protect different parts of your hitch. Match the lock to your equipment before you order.

Lock the coupler

A coupler lock helps block an unauthorized hookup while your trailer is unhitched. Choose the design made for your Shift Lock or Demco coupler.

Secure the stem

A stem set-bolt lock helps secure the inner tube and coupler to the trailer. Check your set-bolt position and available clearance.

Protect both points

Check these three details before ordering

  1. Coupler style: Shocker Shift Lock couplers have a shifter-style lever handle. Demco locks are for Demco EZ Latch couplers. These coupler locks are not interchangeable and are not designed for Bulldog or Wallace Forge couplers.
  2. Ball size: Choose the correct 2-5/16" or 3" option for a Shift Lock coupler. The Demco locks in this category are designed for 2-5/16" EZ Latch couplers. Ball size alone does not establish compatibility.
  3. Stem-lock clearance: On Shocker 9-inch-offset air gooseneck hitches, the stem set-bolt lock fits when the trailer outer-stem set bolts are on the side. It does not fit front-mounted set bolts on that hitch because there is insufficient clearance.

Gooseneck lock questions

Is a padlock or puck lock included?

The coupler kits labeled “with Puck Lock” include the puck lock. The bracket-only products labeled “for Pad, Disk or Puck Lock” require a compatible lock, sold separately. Check the selected product’s included components before ordering.

Can I use my existing lock?

The padlock-style brackets accept compatible pad, disk or puck locks. Check the bracket’s lock requirements and your lock’s dimensions on the product page. A Shocker hidden-shackle puck lock is also available separately.

Do I need a coupler lock and a stem lock?

A coupler lock helps deter an unauthorized hookup; a stem lock helps deter removal of the inner tube and coupler. Using both addresses those two access points. Locks are theft deterrents, not a guarantee against theft.
