Shocker Hitch Quick Latch Towing Mud Flaps Install Guide

Mount the Collar To Receiver Shank: Slide the heavy-duty steel mounting collar directly over your 2″ or 2-1/2″ Shocker receiver hitch shank. Also works with other receiver hitch shanks. Position it close to the bumper and securely tighten the clamping hardware to ensure a rigid, vibration-free fit.

Insert the Support Arms: Take the lightweight aluminum horizontal support rods and slide them into the receiving ends of the steel mounting collar.

Engage the Quick Latch: Push the support rods inward until the quick trigger latches “click” into place. This ensures the arms are firmly locked into the collar for safe highway travel.

To Remove When Not Towing: Simply squeeze the quick trigger latches and pull the aluminum support rods outward. The arms will cleanly release from the mounting collar in one smooth motion, allowing you to easily detach the flaps for daily driving.

Do the bars interfere with the sensors in the bumper when flaps and not installed?

Q Do the bars interfere with the sensors in the bumper when flaps and not installed?
A Great question! With the **Shocker Hitch Quick Latch Towing Mud Flaps**, you don't have to leave the bars on the truck when you're not towing. The quick trigger latches release the **entire support-bar-and-flap assembly** cleanly from the mounting collar - so when the flaps are off, the bars come off too, and nothing is left hanging behind your bumper to sit in front of the sensors. The only piece that stays behind is the steel mounting collar clamped onto your receiver shank, and that sits down **in the hitch opening, below the bumper** - not in front of the bumper sensors.

I looked at several setups before I bought the Shocker Hitch Quick Latch Towing Mud Flaps. The bracket and mud flaps are very easy to install. Removing the mud flaps from the mounting bracket is very easy. The mud flaps provide great protection for my 5th wheel trailer. I have already recommended this product to several friends. The only downside is the mud flaps are very easy to install and remove which makes them very easy to steal. You just have to remember to stow the mud flaps when you are not using the.
