Who the HD Series is for

The HD Series is our 20K air receiver hitch with a safety-red frame, rated up to 20,000 lbs GTW and 2,000 lbs tongue weight. It fits full-size pickups, vans, SUVs, RVs, and motorhomes with the receiver under the bumper, plus flatbed and service-body trucks. It’s used for:

Farm and ranch equipment: Drawbar, clevis, and pintle mounts hook up to farm wagons, anhydrous tanks, augers, balers, sprayers, cultivators, and spreaders. The drawbar mounts work on pickups, UTVs, ATVs, tractors, Toolcats, and Gators.

Campers and motorhome towing: Travel trailers, camper trailers, and toter homes ride smoother, and the sway control kits help keep long trailers in line.

Heavy equipment and car trailers: Skid steer, flatbed, car, race, and enclosed trailers. The air spring absorbs the jerks and tugs of a hard connection, reducing stress on welds, cargo, and your truck.

Pick the right mount for the job.

Pintle hook: The HD Air Pintle Hitch fits 6″ OD x 3″ ID pintle rings. Choose 3″ to 7″ of drop or 0 to 5″ of drop.

Pintle and ball: The HD Air Drop Hitch with Pintle & Ball pairs a forged 8-ton pintle hook with a 2″ or 2-5/16″ ball (3″ to 7″ of drop). The attachment is rated 16,000 lbs in pintle mode, 12,000 lbs with the 2″ ball, and 16,000 lbs with the 2-5/16″ ball.

Drawbar and clevis: The Drawbar and Cushion Drawbar hitches (up to 4-1/2″ of drop, 1″ hole) and the Clevis hitch (3-1/2″ to 7-1/2″ of drop, 1-1/4″ holes) handle wagons and equipment with a pin hitch. The Cushion Drawbar adds four built-in bump cushions.

Ball mounts: Choose a drop mount (4-1/2″ to 8-1/2″ of drop), a raised mount (2″ of rise to 2″ of drop), or a combo ball with both 2″ and 2-5/16″ balls (up to 4-1/2″ of drop). The Combo Ball & Shackle version adds a black combo ball and a 5-ton shackle.

The 2-5/16″ ball is rated 20,000 lbs and the 2″ ball 10,000 lbs. Actual drop and rise depend on the mount you choose, so check the drop/rise guide on each product page.

Farm Mount Towing Kit

The HD Air Drop Hitch Farm Mount Towing Kit includes the HD air hitch, a combo ball mount with 2″ and 2-5/16″ balls, a clevis mount, an adjustable pintle mount, a drawbar, and three mount pins with clips. Pull a pin and swap mounts when you change from a ball trailer to a wagon or pintle-ring trailer.

Sway control kits

For campers and long trailers that get pushed around by crosswinds or passing semis, the Sway Control Towing Kit with Combo Ball (1/2″ to 4-1/2″ drop) and the Drop Hitch Sway Control Towing Kit (4-1/2″ to 8-1/2″ drop) include two friction sway bars. Use one bar for trailers up to 10,000 lbs and both for trailers up to 20,000 lbs. If you already own a friction sway bar, the sway-tab drop, raised, and combo ball mounts accept it.

Adjust the air ride for your trailer.

The air spring and pivoting frame help absorb towing jolts. Follow the air receiver installation guide and model-specific air-pressure instructions when setting up or changing the load. These air receiver hitches are not for use with a weight-distribution hitch system; ask our team about the appropriate Air Equalizer setup if you use weight distribution.
