It directs the normal towing resistance between the tow vehicle and trailer through the air ride system, which produces a much smoother ride. It also naturally reduces trailer sway by filtering and absorbing the changing tongue weight that occurs when towing on uneven or rough roads. Dual urethane bump cushions offer HD performance on extremely rough roads and highways. Air ride system is designed with a built-in heavy duty air spring bag for years of heavy duty performance.

The Shocker Hitch 20k HD significantly improved the handling of my truck with a chipper attached. While going over rough roads with the chipper as well as an equipment trailer with a tractor on it, the bumpy portions of the road were noticeably less jarring. I am impressed by the stoutness of the hitch attachments and the quality and appearance of its overall build.

Absolutely the best hitch I’ve ever owned!!! I’m towing a Malibu M242 wake boat that weights almost 11,000 lbs loaded with the trailer. This hitch definitely cushions the ride that helps you feel more comfortable in your vehicle and it’s so much better for the trailer because it eliminates the hard shock as you go over bumps on the interstate!! It’s worth every penny!!!!
I can’t believe I got jolted by trailers all these years….This hitch is amazing. I have pulled 5 different trailers so far ranging from 2500 pounds to 16000 pounds, 12′ to 22′, for well over 500 miles on all kinds of roads. I am now a believer. This 20K Air hitch is great, I trailer 14 ft containers that are 13yrd container. This hitch gives a great ride. The truck and trailer ride is way smoother then other hitches. Shocker air ride hitch is the way to go.
Crazy fast shipping and order arrived exactly as ordered. Live chat is also crazy fast with answers and follow up. This is an unbelievable product and extremely well built, just large for a half ton pickup, so I returned for a quick refund less freight. Should have ordered the aluminum version, but according to Curt is the same large size. I defiantly would consider a more compact version if ever available. May have to be this size for the action to work properly and be as effective, just a guess. Would be fine for a 3/4 ton or larger vehicle, as I intended to leave on all the time pulling multiple trailers in one day. Expensive, but worth the money for the cushy ride, why shake your tow vehicle or contents of your trailer to pieces when it can float on air. Also travels forward a back, besides up and down. If they ever produce a slightly smaller aluminum version, I would defiantly consider re- purchasing. Will work on a half ton, but looks crazy big and gets low to the ground with a load. Top of the line product and company to do business with. Highly recommend.

This hitch has been everything I hoped it would be. I tow different trailers on a daily basis. 7×14′ dump, 20′ enclosed, 22′ equipment and 16′ flatbed. It’s great to be able to change ball sized, ride height and the air pressure within a minute or so between trailers.
