- How to set the air? After you hook up WD bars, air the hitch until the truck side bump cushions are not compressed. If the trailer side bump cushions are compressed, you have too much air in the air ride system. See video

California Residents: Prop 65 Warning
First off, I ordered the wrong hitch. After a considerable time, I finally was getting to the install and verifying what I needed versus what I had. James set me up pretty easy and quickly. I received the new weight distribution w/chain set up and installed it myself. The one thing I can say I changed was the metal screws were changed to a 7/16-14x1in bolt.
I wanted the Shocker Hitch WD w/chain for simplicity and the reduction of what I call road feed back. I can simply say that the hitch I have has exceeded expectations. Between my wife and my dogs they have made a believer out of me. The Hitch itself is substantial so if you’re over 70 yrs old or have a bad back I would say check it out prepurchase. But if you can handle the weight that this the best hitch I have found. It appears to be extremely versatile with all the different attachments you can swap out. 10 out of 10 I’d buy again!
I waited to provide a review after 1k miles of towing. I can’t imagine not having this hitch. It’s a dream to not feel the bumps of the trailer on the hitch to the point that I have to check and see if the trailer is even back there. The ride is so smooth now. After years of towing I couldn’t imagine that it was even possible for towing to be this smooth and enjoyable. Towing an empty trailer is equally as enjoyable when I leave the equalizer bars off @ 40lbs of air in the shock bag. The only regret has been not finding this product years earlier.
