Product Description
- Smoother Safer Towing Every Mile – Bolts to Existing WD Hitch: Add bolt on air ride towing to your pickup & camper with an equalizer, weight-distribution hitch in minutes. (easily bolt your existing weight-distribution head to air equalizer). WD hitch is not included (sold separately). It filters and absorbs road shock, tugs, jerks, bumps, bangs, and sways through the built in air ride suspension system, creating a smooth ride for the tow vehicle utilizing a compatible wd hitch and the camper trailer. It directs the normal towing resistance between the tow vehicle using a weight distribution hitch, and the trailer through the air ride system, which produces a much smoother ride. It also naturally reduces trailer sway by filtering and absorbing the changing tongue weight that occurs when towing on uneven or rough roads.
- Reduces Stress, Breakage, Wear & Tear on Truck, Trailer, Cargo & Equipment: Our air ride equalizer for a WD hitch reduces wear and tear on the pickup truck, driveline, trailer and frame. The shock absorbing and dampening design of an air hitch creates less stress on tow vehicle and trailer. Less stress means less wear and tear on both the tow vehicle and the trailer frame and welds. It’s a must have for newer trailers with aluminum frames that tend to crack because of rough roads and a traditional hard truck to trailer connection. An air ride hitch will greatly reduce the chances of frame cracking and breaking.
- Designed to Fits Pickup Trucks Only & Vehicles with Leaf Springs: This is designed for pulling with a Pickup Truck and vehicles with Leaf Springs. It will Not work with SUV/CUVs with coil-over springs in the rear.
- 2 Friction Sway Arm Bar Systems (1 per side) Included: Adjust to stiffens the the left & right side connection between your truck and trailer a-frame, keeping your trailer towing down the road straight and in line with the tow vehicle. Sway control friction arm assembly has two 1-1/4″ trailer mounted mini ball, two 1-1/4″ hitch mounted ball with a lock washers and nuts for your WD hitch head with sway bar mount tabs along with four metal lag screws and two retaining clips. This is great for travel camping trailers, heavy duty trailers, race trailers and toy haulers.
- Compatible with Most Major Brand Weight Distribution Hitches: Fits & bolts to most major brands of weight-distribution hitch heads: Fastway E2, Equalizer, Reese, Husky, Pro Series, Torklift, Blue OX, Camco Eaz Lift & Curt round bar, Curt trutrack & trunnion head). Measure your head, the air equalizer fits heads that have 2-1/2″ center to center or 3-3/4″ center to center bolt hole patterns. (Does not work with Anderson chain style or B&W Continuum weight-distribution hitch)
- Easily Adjust Air Pressure for Ride Comfort, Trailer Tow Weight & Load Control: You can easily fine-tune and adjust the air pressure for the best ride and load control on every trip. For heavier loads, increase the air pressure; for lighter loads reduce it. A cushion, steel spring or torsion hitch is not adjustable for tow weight or tongue weight. The air ride equalizer, when used with a compatible weight distribution system, allows for better control of your pickup & trailer.
- Reduces Stress on Passengers & Animals: Passengers and animals experience less stress while being towed. The shock dampening design effectively absorbs the jerking, tugging, bumps and damaging forces experienced when towing on rough roads and concrete highway, which you would normally feel with a typical hard connection. This makes the ride smoother and less stressful inside the tow vehicle and the trailer.
- Saves Money & Improves Fuel Economy: By reducing trailer breakage on both the trailer & cargo. The air equalizer absorbs the damaging forces experienced with a typical hard connection. This greatly reduces the chances of breaking welds & doing other long-term damage to your equipment & valuable cargo. Customers report 1 to 2 miles per gallon because the tow vehicle & trailer work together better with less friction, which reduces downshifting and improves performance.

If you are experiencing trailer sway problems or a rough ride with your existing weight-distribution hitch, look no further for the solution. Add instant air ride towing to your pickup & camper already equipped with a weight distribution kit. This air ride receiver hitch kit is designed to work with your existing equalizer or weight-distribution hitch. It also comes with two friction sway arm kits. The Shocker Hitch Air Equalizer™ easily bolts to your existing weight distribution head. The air ride hitch for an WD hitch absorbs the road shock and cushions the chucking, tugs, jerks & sways you feel when towing a camper & pickup with a weight distribution system. Fits most major brands of weight-distribution hitches. When towing larger trailers, you may experience trailer sway from wind, passing vehicles, and rough & uneven road surfaces. The air ride equalizer with the included dual sway control arm bar kits is made to absorb, dampen & cushion the changing tongue weight & road shock, created by concrete highways and rough roads and ultimately preventing the trailer from swaying and given you a smoother ride. Plus it reduces wear & tear on your truck, trailer & cargo.
The built-in air ride system, along with the 4 bump cushions, directs the rock shock through the air ride system, still allowing your weight-distribution hitch to work as intended, giving you a smoother and safer ride for you, your pickup, camper, and its contents. Plus, the additional advantage of the Shocker Hitch for your weight distribution hitch is the ability to adjust air pressure up or down when you’re towing different weights and for getting the best ride and load control. The sway bars allow you to fine tune for any sway issues.
This is great for travel camper trailers, heavy-duty trailers, race trailers, and toy haulers. 12,000 lbs GTW & 1,200 lbs TW. This is designed for pulling with a Pickup Truck or SUV with leaf springs. It will not work with SUVs or CUVs with coil-over springs in the rear. Manufactured by Shocker Hitch® in Jamestown, ND.
California Residents: Prop 65 Warning

I have been hauling a double car trailer to racetracks for a few years with a 3/4 ton Yukon and simple distribution hitch. We had a bit of a sway issue that I thought this might fix, then decided to add the airbag set up. In short is works very very well! Truck ride is much smoother and the sway is gone.
Don’t write reviews. This is one of the best things for trailer pulling. Hardly any transfer of bumps from truck to trailer. Rides like nothing is behind you.
