Who Quick Air is for
Quick Air® adds air ride to 5th wheel campers and RV trailers, rated up to 24,000 lbs GTW and 6,000 lbs tongue weight. It’s the only air ride hitch that works exclusively in a forward and back motion, which is often the biggest jerk you feel when towing a 5th wheel. It’s a good fit for:
- Newer campers with aluminum frames: Rough roads and a hard truck-to-trailer connection can crack aluminum frames. The air ride greatly reduces the chances of frame cracking and breaking.
- Owners who want their truck bed back: The conversion kits let you tow gooseneck style and remove the bulky in-bed 5th wheel slider. With the tongue weight lower in the bed, you get more control and less chucking.
- Owners who want to keep their 5th wheel hitch: The pin box with kingpin adds air ride and still hooks up to the 5th wheel hitch in your truck bed.
Two ways to add Quick Air® to your camper
5th wheel to gooseneck conversion
Replace your factory pin box with a complete Quick Air® gooseneck pin box, Gooseneck Surge® air hitch and a 24,000 lbs coupler for a 2-5/16″ gooseneck ball. Choose the Shift Lock® conversion kit or the Demco coupler conversion kit, with or without a safety chain kit.
Pin box with kingpin
The Quick Air® 5th Wheel Pin Box with Kingpin adds air ride while keeping your in-bed 5th wheel hitch. The kingpin sits close to the factory location for easy hookup.
Match your pin box
The conversion kits come in three pin box options:
- Lippert 1621, 0719, Rhino Box, Curt Helux, Flex Air, Rota-Flex, L05 Rota-Flex and L05 Rota-Flex SHD
- Lippert 1716, 1116, 0115, FabEx 500, 503, 520, 530, 560, RBW 7028 and M19 Rota-Flex
- Lippert Turning Point
The pin box with kingpin fits the first two groups, except the Lippert 1716. Check the product page for your exact model, or send our team the label and photos of your pin box.
Shift Lock® or Demco coupler?
Both couplers fit a 2-5/16″ gooseneck ball and are rated for 24,000 lbs GTW and 6,000 lbs tongue weight. The Shift Lock® coupler is dual latching and captures the ball on both sides. It extends 3″ forward from the factory location, which gives cab and bed clearance on 8′, 6′10″, 6′6″ and even 5′7″ pickup beds.
Already have a Shocker gooseneck pin box?
If you need just the air hitch and coupler, choose the Quick Air® Gooseneck Hitch & Shift Lock® Coupler or the Quick Air® Gooseneck Hitch & Demco Coupler. Their short stem is made for the Shocker gooseneck pin box and can’t be used on a normal gooseneck trailer. Replacement parts in this Series include the pin box only, the pin box chain kit, the pin box bolt kit and spacer plates. Review what’s included on each product page before you order.
Adjust the air ride for your camper
Add air pressure for heavier loads and reduce it for lighter loads, so you can set the ride for a loaded or empty camper. Follow the Quick Air® air-pressure guidance for your connection type and trailer load, and check truck-bed, cab and trailer clearance. The lowest-rated component limits the complete setup.
