QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS OF THE CUSTOMERS
Yes, the Shocker Hitch Quick Air 5th wheel is based on our Gooseneck Surge hitch which is strictly a front/back movement hitch which is the best direction to absorb movement under a normal camper setup with a pickup as a tow vehicle. Unfortunately your converted semi is much larger and will require a vertical movement hitch to accomplish what you are looking for.

In some cases, you will need to reach out to either Lippert or the manufacturer of your camper. You'll need to provide them with the serial number of either the pin box OR camper.

Lippert 1621 vs 1621HD : the HD uses 6 bolts as opposed to just 4 bolts. Please ensure to use all 6 bolts per side in the case of 1621 HD.

At this time, we are not compatible with any auto slide 5th wheel hitches.

Our hitch, specifically the SH-800-KP, will work with the Demco Autoslide and will not require the use of additional plates. Here is why --- the width of the Kingpin Plate on the Shockerhitch is 12 inches and the Demco Auto Slider adjusts from 12" to 14" to capture the kingpin plate.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS
Hitch came in quick no damage I installed the Hitch and played with the air pressure till I felt like it was correct and man what a difference it made been pulling this camper all over the US and I wish I wouldn't have waited so long to purchase this Hitch
I ordered and I installed this hitch a month ago this was my first time pulling it I started out with what was recommended for air pressure that was still a rough ride pulled over added little more air and turned out to pulling a lot smoother. My only concern with this hitch was with it being a shorter pin box than the factory one my tailgate does get close to the front of my trailer. Otherwise it was worth me taking off my goosebox and going back to a pin box
The hitch is a Christmas gift for my husband, so I can't attest to it's quality or functionality yet. The sales guy, James, was amazing though! He helped me pick out exactly what I needed without having to ask my husband anything to insure that I was able to keep it a secret. One of the boxes had a big hole in it when it arrived, but to be fair, it wasn't a bag of feathers in those boxes. The worst part about this whole experience was having to pick up and hide not one, but 2 big and heavy boxes from someone that gets into EVERYTHING - by myself. I'm sure he'll love it... next month!! :0)
