Shocker 14K Air Receiver Hitches

Who the 14K Series is for

The 14K Series is our everyday air receiver hitch for pickups, vans, and SUVs that tow up to 14,000 lbs GTW and 1,400 lbs tongue weight. Customers use it for:

• Campers and travel trailers: Less chucking and porpoising on concrete highways, and a calmer ride for the family and everything packed inside.
• Car haulers: The air spring soaks up the hard hits that shake a loaded car trailer and the vehicle strapped to it.
• Utility and equipment trailers: Pintle, drawbar, and clevis mounts cover work trailers, while the cushioned ride is easier on welds, cargo, and your truck.

7-hole or 8-hole frame?

• Original 7-hole frame: Fits 2-inch receivers and adjusts from 2" of rise to 7-1/2" of drop. It’s a good match for 2WD pickups, vans, and SUVs. Look for “Original” and “7 Hole” in the product name.
• 8-hole frame: Fits 2-inch and 2.5-inch receivers and adjusts from 2" of rise to 8-1/2" of drop. The extra inch of drop helps on taller 4×4 pickups.

Pick the right mount for the job

Most mounts come for both frames. The 7-hole frame has about an inch less drop than the 8-hole frame:

Mount	8-hole frame	Original 7-hole frame
Drop ball	4-1/2" to 8-1/2" drop	4-1/2" to 7-1/2" drop
Raised ball	2" rise to 2" drop	2" rise to 1" drop
Combo ball (2" and 2-5/16")	Up to 4-1/2" drop	Up to 3-1/2" drop
Pintle hook	0 to 5" or 3" to 7" drop	0 to 4" or 3" to 6" drop
Pintle & ball	3" to 7" drop	3" to 6" drop
Clevis (1-1/4" holes)	3-1/2" to 7-1/2" drop	3-1/2" to 6-1/2" drop
Drawbar and Cushion Drawbar (1" hole)	Up to 4-1/2" drop	Up to 3-1/2" drop

Actual drop and rise depend on the mount you choose, so check the drop/rise guide on each product page.

Farm Mount Towing Kit

The 14K Air Drop Hitch Farm Mount Towing Kit includes the air hitch, a combo ball mount with 2" and 2-5/16" balls, a channel pintle hook, a drawbar, a clevis mount, and three mount pins. Pull a pin and swap mounts when you change from a ball trailer to a wagon or pintle-ring trailer.

Sway control kits

For longer campers and trailers that get pushed around by crosswinds or passing semis, the Sway Control Towing Kit with Combo Ball (1/2" to 4-1/2" drop) and the Raised Hitch Sway Control Towing Kit (2" rise to 2" drop) include two friction sway bars. Use one bar for trailers up to 10,000 lbs and both for trailers up to 20,000 lbs. If you already own a friction sway bar, the sway-tab drop, raised, and combo ball mounts accept it.

Metric mounts for Australia and Europe

Towing with a metric ball? The 14K Air Drop Hitch with Metric Australia / Europe Mounts has a 22 mm (7/8") ball hole for a bolt-on 50 mm or 70 mm ball. You can choose a standard, Euro, off-road, raised, or drop mount. The hitch ball isn’t included.

Adjust the air ride for your trailer

The air spring and pivoting frame help absorb towing jolts. Follow the air receiver installation guide and model-specific air-pressure instructions when setting up or changing the load. These air receiver hitches are not for use with a weight-distribution hitch system; ask our team about the appropriate Air Equalizer setup if you use weight distribution.
