Skid Adapter Trailer Mover Setup Instructions

Your new Shocker Hitch Skid Steer Adapter is a multi piece design to simplify physical handling and fitment to your specific machine.

1. Install or hang the left and right half main sections on the skid machine mounting plate. Note, leave machine mounting levers or hydraulic locking actuator, if equipped loose. Proceed to step 2.

2. Align and install center “H” section on main sections using four (4) 5/8″ x 1 ½” long Hex bolts with four (4) 5/8″ SAE washers across top edge and four (4) 5/8″ Centerlock Nuts and remaining four (4) 5/8″ SAE washers across the bottom studs. Note holes are slotted and allow adjustment left/right or up/down. Tighten hardware finger tight only.

3. Engage locking levers, or hydraulic actuator if equipped, to engage and secure Adapter sections to the machine. Ensure sections are sitting flat and square on machine tool mounting.

4. Tighten all hardware progressively until all 5/8″ bolts and nuts are torque to 100 ft lbs.

5. Ensure Shocker Skid Adapter is sitting flush and congruent with machine tool adapter.

6. Disengage and Re-engage machine locking levers, or hydraulic actuator, and ensure proper function. If the adapter does not release or reconnect properly, loosen all hardware and adjust accordingly, re-torque hardware.

7. Using two (2) 5/8″ x 4 ½” pins, included., Install desired Shocker Ballmount Adapter in vertical channel at optimal height. Typically higher ball mount for gooseneck trailers and a lower setting for bumper trailers.

8. Your new Shocker Skid Adapter Trailer Mover is now ready for use.
