The Streamline™ Series combines an aluminum frame, receiver shank and paddle with adjustable air ride and dual bump cushions. It’s lighter and rust-free, and its silver finish offers a distinctive alternative to the steel receiver-hitch Series. Available for 2-inch receivers, with hitch ratings up to 10,000 lbs GTW and 1,000 lbs tongue weight, even with a higher-rated mount. Browse the mounts below to match your trailer connection; capacity and drop/rise vary by configuration.
Who the Streamline Series is for
The Streamline™ Series is our aluminum air receiver hitch, rated up to 10,000 lbs GTW and 1,000 lbs tongue weight for 2-inch receivers. The frame, receiver shank and paddle are all aluminum, so it’s lightweight and rust-free, with a silver textured powder-coat finish. It fits full-size and midsize pickups, vans and select SUVs with the receiver under the bumper, plus RVs and motorhomes. It’s used for:
- Boats: A lightweight, rust-free hitch for boat trailers.
- Travel and camping trailers: The air spring smooths out the chucking and bouncing on concrete highways, and the sway control kit helps keep the camper in line.
- Farm, overland and off-road use: Drawbar, clevis and pintle mounts hook up to wagons, carts, anhydrous tanks, augers, balers, spreaders, sprayers, cultivators, tillage equipment and seed tenders, on pickups, UTVs, ATVs, Gators, Toolcats and tractors.
Why aluminum?
The 5052 aluminum side plates and top plate keep the hitch light and rust-free, while a 1″ carbon-steel bolt handles the pivot. Keep in mind that the aluminum hitch is rated at 10,000 lbs GTW and 1,000 lbs tongue weight maximum. A mount or ball rated higher than that doesn’t raise the Streamline limit.
Pick the right mount for the job
- Pintle hook: The Streamline Aluminum Air Pintle Hitch fits 6″ OD x 3″ ID pintle rings. Choose 3″ to 7″ of drop or 0 to 5″ of drop.
- Pintle and ball: The Streamline Aluminum Air Drop Hitch with Pintle & Ball pairs an 8-ton pintle hook with a 2″ or 2-5/16″ ball (3″ to 7″ of drop).
- Drawbar and clevis: The Drawbar and Cushion Drawbar hitches (1/2″ to 4-1/2″ of drop, 1″ hole) and the Clevis hitch (3-1/2″ to 7-1/2″ of drop, 1-1/4″ holes) handle farm equipment with a pin hitch. The Cushion Drawbar adds four bump cushions.
- Ball mounts: Choose a drop mount (4-1/2″ to 8-1/2″ of drop), a raised mount (2″ of rise to 2″ of drop), or a combo ball with both 2″ and 2-5/16″ balls (up to 4-1/2″ of drop).
Actual drop and rise depend on the mount you choose, so check the drop/rise guide on each product page.
Sway control
The Streamline Sway Control Towing Kit comes with a black sway-tab combo ball mount (1/2″ to 4-1/2″ drop) and your choice of one or two friction sway bar kits. Use one sway bar for trailers up to 10,000 lbs, and add the second if you have major sway issues. If you already own a friction sway bar, the sway-tab drop, raised, and combo ball mounts accept it.
Adjust the air ride for your trailer
The air spring and pivoting frame help absorb towing jolts. Follow the air receiver installation guide and model-specific air-pressure instructions when setting up or changing the load. These air receiver hitches are not for use with a weight-distribution hitch system; ask our team about the appropriate Air Equalizer setup if you use weight distribution.
