If you are experiencing trailer sway while towing, check out the Shocker hitch sway bar arm kit will help reduce trailer sway. Order a single or dual sway arm bar kit. This is a very economical way to assist with fixing trailer sway problems. Whether you are towing a camper, small or large trailer, you may experience trailer sway from wind, passing vehicles, and rough & uneven road surfaces. This friction sway control arm bar kit is made to prevent the trailer from swaying. We offer a sway control arm bar system kit that works with the many different Shocker Hitch ball mounts that have sway bar mounting tabs. Available in combo, drop, or raised ball with sway bar tabs (sold separately). The friction sway bars attach to the front of your trailer frame, on the side of the a-frame, and then to your ball mount attachment equipped with sway bar tabs. This sway control system is used to stiffen the connection between the truck and trailer, keeping it straight and in line with the tow vehicle. The arm is adjustable, and you can increase the resistance on the highway and reduce the resistance when in town or taking sharp corners. This kit works with Shocker sway control hitches and our air weight distribution hitches.
You will want to use one (1) Shocker sway control system when towing up to 10,000 pounds and/or trailers under 24′ & when towing over 10,000 pounds and/or trailers longer than 24′, two (2) Shocker sway control arm bar kits may be required. A single system comes with an adjustable sway control friction arm assembly, one 1-1/4″ trailer-mounted mini ball, one 1-1/4″ hitch-mounted ball with the lock washer and nut for your sway control ball mount tab, along with 4 metal lag screws and 2 retaining clips. This is great for travel camping trailers, heavy-duty trailers, race trailers, and toy haulers. Made in China.

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS OF THE CUSTOMERS
This system can be used on an aluminum enclosed trailer with no issues. As long as everything is installed correctly, and the adjustment is correctly, the neck of the trailer will stand up just fine.

The sway control kit would only help with reducing trailer sway helping your truck and trailer go down the road in a straight line. We do offer a Air Hitch & Sway control towing kit that would offer both a smoother ride and reduce your sway. The Shocker air hitch is designed to take out any road shock and jerking between the truck and the trailer. Good morning Adam unfortunately, we do not have a detachable option for our sway arm. Thank you have a good day.

It is recommended to either loosen or remove the friction sway bars when taking tight turns or backing up to prevent bending/breaking.

This arm is universal and can be used on either side. You would simply slide the arm out of the sway control system and flip it over to use on the other side.

There will be no issues with rain, although, you will need to consider slick conditions in general.

Since you are running an 8" aluminum frame, our No-Drill Clamp-On Brackets (Part # SH-7010) are absolutely the right call to protect the structural integrity of the trailer. To handle this while on the road, you have two choices:
Wait Until You Get Home: If you can't safely clear the wires at exactly 24 inches, the safest and most realistic bet is to leave the sway control arm unhooked for the rest of your trip. It's better to tow without it for a few more weeks than to risk destroying the sway arm or pinching your trailer's electrical system.
Create a Temporary Spacer/Bridge: If there is a little slack in the wires, you might be able to grab a firm piece of rubber matting, some dense plastic, or a couple of narrow aluminum strips from a local hardware store. You can lay these strips above and below the wires under the clamp. This creates a small "bridge" so the clamp tightens securely against the frame and spacers, leaving the wires safely untouched in the gap.

We do have a version that helps extend it back that was built for air stream campers, but could be used for other trailers and campers. We recommend you have a steel frame for this version though. CUSTOMER REVIEWS
I bought the dual sway control kit for my new camper I bought in February. Ive put around 3k miles on this kit since I bought it in February. I absolutely love the difference it made the day I put it on was very windy towing it from the storage yard to the house it pushed my truck around. After the install and on the way back to the storage yard it felt so much better. I believe this kit should be a must have for any travel trailer!
Sway bars. Solid Product. Great customer service.
It's hard to tell if it prevented a sway condition. I can say that on a recent 1500 mile road trip that I did not have dangerous sway condition arise. I think that for the money, the peace of mind it delivers is priceless.
Experience: This bar is the hands-down the best I have found on the market. Its quality is superb, it has ball mounts on both ends, is simple and ultra-fast to install, mount/dismount, and is absolutely -as I found out once I got it and as Shocker told me, "releasable with one finger". Clearly, the folks at Shocker looked at their design from the point of view of folks like me who wish to use an effective anti-swaybar as it is intended to be engaged, released, and removed -all with the least amount of hassle possible to encourage appropriate use for safety and convenience. I know so many friends who eventually rationalized not needing their anti-swaybars because they are a real inconvenience. I get their issue, and that is why I got Shocker's. For me, it is easy to disengage for medium turning and quickly removable for tight turns. I have long been aware of the sea of stabilizer bars out there, including some that are pretty easy to release. However, Shocker's anti-sway bar that I purchased checks all the boxes -from high quality, sound engineering, ease of working with it, and comes from a company that has the service to help with my application and that is easily accessible to stand behind their products. This bar is exactly what I needed, and in application, it is great to work with. It gets my highest recommendation. Thank you. Kind regards, Bill
Pulling doubles on my fifth wheel using this set up and it makes it awesome to pull!
These weren't an absolute necessity for us but well worth the money. Sway control made traveling on interstate in moderate crosswinds and semi-trucks passing much less tiring. Also improved control on really curvy roads, particularly 2 lane. Our RV is an older one, about 11' tall, rear drive turbo diesel that is linear behind the rear axle with limited sway control options on the rear axle. So with the long rear body area and the weight of its engine and transmission back there sway control is an issue.
As advertised…product works great!
Sway bars made all the difference, hated how our new to us trailer handled, used 2 sway bars for 12000 lb, can now maintain traffic speed without a probem
Great product. Love how this hitch prevents the jerk as we go over rough roads, or overpasses. Highly recommend this product and this company.
Great to have this. Not need sway bar..
