The heavy-duty sway control Shocker Hitch air provides the ultimate smooth ride. The built-in heavy duty airbag cushions the ride and absorbs the road shock, bumps, jerks, tugs, bouncing and sway. It’s easier & less stressful on you, your passengers, animals, tow vehicle, trailer, cargo and equipment. This shocker-absorbing hitch is an air suspension towing hitch mounted between your pickup truck and trailer. Works great on full-size pickup trucks, vans, SUV’s, flatbed trucks, RV’s & motorhomes where the receiver hitch is under the bumper.
If you are experiencing trailer sway while towing, then this heavy duty air ride sway control towing kit is perfect for you. Especially when towing a trailer, you may experience trailer sway from wind, passing vehicles, and rough, uneven road surfaces. The included dual sway control arm bars are made to prevent the trailer from swaying. We offer a sway control arm bar system kit that connects from the Shocker sway control ball mount with built-in sway bar mount tabs on the hitch, to the each side of the trailer a-frame. This sway control system is used to stiffen the connection between the truck and trailer, keeping it straight and in line with the towing vehicle.
The air ride system sits under the receiver tube allowing a short distance of 10-1/2″ between the mounting pin and ball center. You will find the advantage of the Heavy Duty Air Shocker is your ability to adjust air pressure for the trailer weight, best ride, comfort and load control. The HD hitch frame features a safety red powder coated finish. The air bag sits under the receiver tube, allowing a short distance of 10-1/2″ each between the mounting pin and the ball center. Sway control should only be used on V-Frame trailers.

No, the Shocker Hitch Air Receiver does not reduce actual hitch/tongue weight as a weight distribution hitch would. The actual tongue weight will stay the same. If you are looking for actual weight distribution, we have our Air Equalizer model that is designed to work with weight distribution bars. Another potential option to help with the tongue would be to use an Air Suspension kit, such as one from Air Lift, which we also offer.
