With this adjustable XR drop hitch ball mount, the chrome hitch balls are bolted to the drop mount and feature a 1-1/4" thick shaft along with a lock washer and nut featuring a premium hard chrome finish.

What size pins are used to mount the ball mount to the shank? I'm really seeing if I can get a locking pin to be able to lock the ball mount to the shank＋

The ball mount pin is 5/8" diameter. It has a 4-1/2" span. We do have ball mount locks here https://shockerhitch.com/product/locking-hitch-pins/

What is the length from the pin holes to the center of the ball. I'm wanting the 4inch rise/drop model＋

The measurements from the pin holes are 10 1/2 and 9 1/2 to the center of the ball, and 4 inches from the mount holes to the center of the ball.

I know you can flip the entire hitch to switch to give extra rise, but can you also flip the ball mount to give a little extra rise/drop?＋

That's a great question! Here's the breakdown for your Shocker XR Sway Control Drop Hitch: **The entire XR channel frame** can be flipped - that's the main hitch body that slides into your receiver. Flipping it gives you more drop or rise, which you already know. **The drop ball mount itself** (the attachment with the ball and sway tabs that slides into the channel) is **not designed to be flipped**. Here's why: - The drop ball mount is **welded with a specific offset** - the ball sits below the mounting plate to create drop. If you flipped it upside down, the ball would point upward but the geometry isn't intended for that orientation. - More importantly, your sway control tabs would end up in the wrong position relative to the ball and trailer frame, which could cause improper sway bar function. **What you *can* do:** You can adjust the ball mount **up and down through the 8 (or 10) adjustment holes** in the channel for fine-tuning - that gives you **0" to 7-1/2" of drop** on the 8-hole frame (or 0" to 9" on the 10-hole). **If you need rise instead of drop,** Shocker offers a **Raised Ball Mount with Sway Tabs** (SH-310125-2SC or SH-310125-25SC) that provides **5" of rise to 3" of drop** - designed specifically for that purpose.
